  • Day Light Integral (DLI) is simply the total amount of light (PAR) that the plant sees throughout the course of a day
  • DLI can vary widely with changing seasons depending on latitude and dramatically affects plant growth, development, quality and yield.
  • Studies have clearly shown the increased economic benefits of providing cannabis with uniform, consistently high light levels throughout all growth phases.
  • During winter months with low DLI, the greenhouse is in need of supplemental lighting to maintain photoperiods and to provide adequate PPFD for optimal production.

Lowest Possible Energy Use with Maximum Results

GrowRay is pleased to offer the very first self-contained Adaptive Light Sensor and Controller (patent-pending) for optimizing light levels in greenhouses to provide the perfect amount of supplemental lighting. The Adaptive Sensor measures the amount of sunlight available at each fixture location and tunes the output of the light up or down to maintain even PAR levels at all times. Every Grow Ray fixture only uses only the absolute minimum amount of electricity required to supplement natural sunlight, without the need for any software or modeling. GrowRay sets each sensor at the factory to a specific PAR number; any time natural sunlight intensity dips beneath this threshold, Grow Ray lights produce just the amount of light required to make up for the missing PPFD.

  • GrowRay Linear Sensors are temperature compensated for accurate operations from 0°C to 50°C (32°F to 122°F, +/- 5%)
  • Factory stock settings 200-1,000 PAR max (please specify when ordering)
  • Will work with any 0-10V dimming LED controller that also supplies 12VDC at 10mA or greater
  • Dimming is linear from 10-90% of LED light output. Our drivers automatically shut off below 8%.

SPACIAL/TEMPORAL RESOLUTION

The individualized light adjustment precisely matches the different lighting requirements according to the variable ambient lighting condition inside the greenhouse, ensuring maximum light use efficiency.

DYNAMIC YIELD

Adaptive sensor controlled lights can be adjusted according to the crop lighting profile. The same lighting hardware can be used for different crops under different conditions.

The unique geometry of the patented triangular extrusion reduces the cost of supplemental greenhouse lighting by reflecting sunlight lost by other manufacturers’ lights onto the canopy. The GrowRay triangle also reduces the absorbed heat from the sun compared to other fixtures, which significantly lengthens LED lifetime.

Plants perceive and adapt to their environmental surroundings for optimal growth and development. Illumination is the most powerful environmental stimulus for plant growth and plants have sophisticated sensing systems to monitor light quantity, quality, direction, and duration. Pigments and photoreceptors present on plants control plant photosynthetic and photomorphogenic processes.

To achieve maximum biomass production with less energy consumption and ensure healthy plant development, GrowRay has designed a custom, full-spectrum, ratio-based lighting recipe taking advantage of the latest LED technology. The specially formulated light balance regulates key plants developmental process while maximizing photosynthesis. Using especially selected wavelengths at red (660nm), blue (450nm) and far‐red (730nm) combined with the full spectrum warm white LEDs, GrowRay’s spectrum can maximize plant flowering, photoperiod, leaf expansion, and plant shape while ensuring optimal biomass production.
